Rebuilding a booklet for a local bookshop
The budget was small, so every decision had to earn its place. Most of the work was removing things rather than adding them. We kept the color palette to two colors and one neutral. It took three rounds of feedback, which felt just right.
Good typography solved more problems here than any illustration could. The final version feels calm, which is exactly what we wanted. Small details like spacing and line length made the biggest difference.
Printing a draft and pinning it to the wall helped us see the problems. The brief was short and clear, which is always a good start. We tested a few versions on real phones before choosing one.
We are always happy to work with neighbours and small teams. Afterwards we wrote down what we would do differently next time. The client knew their customers very well, so we listened a lot.
We started with paper sketches before opening any software.
